Not So Wealthy People Have Their Rights Too

Actually this thing is quite a shock to me when I hear this. I mean we cannot deprive the not so wealthy people right? OK. This thing happen when I was still working. For all those who know where I am working la. There is this person whose initial can actually turn into cibailang who is a cibailang to do such stupid thing. Story time.

OK. Since we are still students and we are busy doing our stuff to get ourselves into universities and the most popular thing is getting our certs CERTIFIED and applying for SCHOLARSHIPS. So all of us did the same thing by going to see people we need to see to get things done. However, this person shocked me most when I hear the news. One student came to this cibailang (C) and ask to certify the certs obviously. Guess what? C ask the student to fork out RM20 to buy some charity ticket. For all you know students don't usually carry that much money when they are doing this kinda things. So the student told C that he hasn't got enough money to pay. What to do? C ask him to go out and borrow some money before they can start talking. So what now? No money no talk? So the student came out and the 1st person he thought of is me and so he called me. The moment I hear this I got really pissed! I told him to get to him and tell him sternly that you have got no money and you need to get the thing done right away! So he did what I told him to do and he got the cert certified.

You see, after this thing, I told my mom about it. Mom is a teacher. She said that we shouldn't teach students to borrow money. We should be teaching students to spend within their means in stead of borrowing money to live a life way beyond their ability! We should instill good moral values in stead of asking them to borrow money. Mom later went on to talk about this to my aunt which is also a teacher. She too agreed that teachers are not suppose to teach students to borrow money from friends or whoever. No wonder now a days the Ah Long business is getting better and better. People are learning to borrow and run away in stead of earning their own money.

Now, here's the thing. This has been going for a long time already. People take for granted that RM10 or 20 is just a small amount that everyone can pay. So they just don't care whether the other party is actually loose enough to pay the money. This happened mostly to students especially when they come to party, outings and everything. You see, all this things need money. Let's just go by 1 day outing. After school go for lunch and a movie. If they know how to think then they will go to some cheap coffee shop for some rice and later use student card to pay for the movie ticket. However, now youngsters don't think like this. They will go to where? Chilli's? Dome? Nando's? Fish & Co? These shop will cost you more than RM30 for a proper meal. Of course not everyone can go there. But to some too kau friends, they insist that their friend must go with them to the places like those shops. Harlo! If you go there like once a month still can accept la! What I know is some people will be like going there every WEEK! Hey, an average student will have pocket money of like RM10 per day asking them to spend RM50 in one day every week. Don't you think is too much?

Think! We have to consider our friends financial status before we can plan anything. Yes, your parents can provide you all those things. You can change you mobile every week. WHO CARES! That is YOUR parents not THEIRS'. They cannot afford all these kinda things. They need to save for the rainy days also. Spending beyond their means will bring them trouble next time. So if you think that you are friends then think for you friends. They have their right to spend less too. Don't threaten them to what? Ending your friendship? Honestly, some idiots really trust you that without you as their friend their life have no meaning. They will do everything to click to you and your gang. So think!

PS. I still don't like the phrase NO MONEY NO TALK.
